It stands for: Registered Massage Therapist/ Massage Therapist. Only the treatments provided by M.T.s are called: Massage Therapy or Therapeutic Massage.

- Treatment/Prevention of physical dysfunction, pain of soft tissue and joints of the body.
- Maintenance, rehabilitation or augmentation of tissue health and physical function.”
Other techniques may be used by our M.T. other than Swedish: AOBT, Deep Tissue, Direct Fascial Stretching, Graded Oscillation, low grades Joint Mobilization, Golgi Tendon Organ Release, Manual Lymph Drainage, Muscle Approximation, Origin/Insertion, Passive Stretches, Prenatal/Postnatal, Shiatsu/Acupressure, Soft Tissue Release, Traction, Trigger Point Release, Tui-na.
